Customize Overview & Groups
The Overview page consists of three main elements - Map view, List view and Side panel - Group cards, Device cards or Event cards. These elements are pre-populated with
Administrators can customize the following on the overview page.
- Data displayed on List view
- Data displayed on Device cards
- Organize devices into discrete, customizable Groups.
- Create different types of groups
Customize List view
The list view displays streams as a table for all devices. To add a stream as a column within the list view, do the following
|From the burger menu select Settings ⇒ Streams ⇒ <stream name> ⇒ Turn on Display stream as column⇒ SAVE|
This will display the selected stream as a column in the List view. If that stream is not available for a specific device, the specific cell of that device will be empty.
Customize Device cards
Device cards displays streams as a row for each individual device. To add a stream as a column within the list view, do the following
|From the burger menu select Settings ⇒ Streams ⇒ <stream name> ⇒ Turn on Display stream as a row⇒ SAVE|
This will display the selected stream as a row in the List view. If that stream is not available for a specific device, that stream will not be displayed on the specific device's card.
Create Groups & add devices
Groups consists of a list of devices. They are defined using a tag key:value pair. You can create groups with your own, customizable types and parameters. For example, you can have a set of groups based on model of robots, another set of groups based on customer and another based on build pipeline. Each of these types of groups are represented as a tag key. The tag value represents each of the groups.
|From the burger menu select Settings ⇒ Groups ⇒ Add Group|
- Choose a Group name that represents this group of devices. This name can be changed anytime.
- Choose the Group type (tag key) and the corresponding tag value.
- Choose devices that you want to select in this group
