Getting Started

Everything you need to know to get started with Formant.

    Configure views

View is a way to group visualization modules within the device channel. It defines the group of streams and its layout that will appear for a device when viewed within the Device Channel.

    A view is defined by:

    • a name

    • a subset of the device’s data.

    Create a View

    Step 1: Add View

From the burger menuselect  Settings  ⇒  View  ⇒  Add View

    Step 2: Name

Enter a name for the View

    Step 3: Choose devices

Filter down to the list of devices on which this View will be visible.

    Step 4: Choose streams

Filter down to the set of streams that are relevant to this View. Choose only streams that are most relevant to this View. A large number of streams will impact the performance of your View.

    Step 5: Modify layout

Optionally, change the layout (size or shape) of the modules in this View.

    Delete View

From the burger menu select  Settings⇒  View  ⇒  next to the View Name

Views can also be deleted from the Settings Menu as follows:

From the burger menuselect Settings ⇒ View next to the View Name

    Warning
